SPORTS PERSONALITY FOCUS - EMENOGU THE SILENT ACHIEVER BUSINESS MAN

Sports enthusiasm is driven by innate passion bourne out of interest for success of ideologies. People that are into sports business are specially inclined and enmeshed in the so called sports business activities. One of such person's is our personality in focus.

Excerpts of the interview with Mr. Emmanuel Emenogu is hereby presented for national delight.

Eko Chronicles: Who is Emmanuel Emenogu?   

Emenogu: Thank you very much. Its my pleasure to speak with you. My name is Mr.Emmanogu Emenogu , a native of Imo State of Nigeria, but grew up in the  Northern part of Nigeria. I'm happily married with 3 kids. I am the C.E.O of Zeus Sports & Entertainment Limited.

I am also the CEO of 2 other companies besides Zeus, namely Professional Soccer Management and Rinae Thoriso Projects. Zeus Sports wear come under Zeus Sports and Entertainment Consultancy L.T.D. These are based in Turkey, South Africa and Kenya.

Eko Chronicles: Can you brief us about your educational background. 

Emenogu: Thanks you very much. I had my primary school education in Bauchi, I attended Government day secondary school, Bauchi, Federal college of education staff school, Bauchi , University of Jos and the National institute of Sports,Lagos. I have a masters in Sports Management, Bsc Public Relations, WAEC and the first school leaving certificate.

Eko Chronicles: Any work experience in Nigeria and/or Overseas? 

Emenogu: Yes, I was the marketing consultant of Kano Pillars FC between 2014/16, Special adviser to the Governor on sports between 2011/13, Marketing consultant and director of Wikki Tourist , Bauchi between 2009/10, Marketing consultant and director of Enyinmba Football Club of Aba 2006/8. I also worked as a football player agent,to Nigeria international players like, Elderson Echejile,  Vincent Enyama, Ndala Ibrahim, Ahmed Garba 'Yaro Yaro , Justice Christopher, Kelechi Osunwa etc .

I am also a licensed Boxing promoter with the Nigerian Boxing Board of control (N.B.B of C) and I'm currently the consultant of the Malawi Super league and The South Sudan National FA.

Eko Chronicles: You have a very intimidating Profile sir, can you tell us briefly about Zeus Sports wear? 

Emenogu: Thank you for your compliment, Zeus Sports wear is a sports brand like any other sports, like adidas, Puma, Nike. It comes under Zeus Sports and Entertainment Consultancy limited company. We manufacture Sports kits, Jerseys, Football with ZEUS as trademark. We are strong in countries  like, South Sudan, Sudan,Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya, Swaziland, Somalia etc.

Eko Chronicles: Any plans for the Nigerian and West African Market? 

Emenogu: In the future yes, but now because we are relatively new, we want to start with countries that the market is condusive for the Zeus brand, though we have supported few academies in Nigeria like Abarowei Football Academy based in Lagos and few others.
