Lagos State News (As Received)  Sanwo-Olu Announces Blue Line Rail to Begin Commercial Operations Monday, 4th Sept, 2023 "I am delighted to announce that the long-awaited Blue Line Rail will begin commercial operations on Monday September 4, 2023 from Marina to Mile 2 as we put #LagosOnTrack.  Join me at 9am at Marina Station as we become the first passengers of this important project that will make daily commute easier for a lot of our residents.  From Tuesday, partial passenger operations will begin from 6:30-10am and afternoon peak from 4-9:30pm. We're starting with 12 trips for 2 weeks, ramping up to 76 trips/day and you would be able to board the train using your Lagos Cowry Card.  This is the people's project and everyone will enjoy its world-class services. Lagos State News  FUEL SUBSIDY: SANWO-OLU ROLLS OUT RELIEF MEASURES TO EASE BURDEN ON LAGOSIANS  …Approves 50% Fare Reduction in BRT Ride, Waterways Transport …Injects More Buses to Transport Workers …Vulnerable Families to Get Food Packs   Lagos State Government has rolled out relief measures to cushion the current hardship being faced by residents as a result of fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government.   Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, rising from the State’s Security Council meeting held on Monday in Alausa, announced a 50 per cent fare reduction across the State-owned public transportation services, effective Wednesday.   Commuters using BRT buses and other public transport means operated by Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and Lagos Ferry Services (LAGFERRY) will enjoy the fare cut.   The Governor disclosed that operators in informal transport sector (commercial drivers) would be embarking on similar move towards reducing the cost of transportation, noting

Corporate Social Responsibility is one of the tools he has constantly explored to climb that successful ladder in the aviation industry, findings reveal.   Though, CSR in Nigeria is philanthropic in nature and has culture of charity as companies and wealthy individuals contribute to charitable causes and use these contributions to garner positive publicity. Despite extending good gesture to lots of Nigerians with Air Peace, his critics nonetheless attack him now and again, for no just cause.
