Lagos FA Appoint Bolaji Yusuf as Lagos Street Soccer Championship Chairman.

Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has appointed Bolaji Yusuf as Chairman Committee for the Lagos Street Soccer Championship. The appointment was announced by Fouad Alade Oki, LSFA Chairman, at the Inauguration of the Management Committee of Lagos Iconic Football Competitions held today at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. In a bid to redefine football in Lagos State under the leadership of the new chairman, the FA re-activated critical football components in the State which includes Oba cup, Principal cup, IBILE cup, Lagos Street Soccer, and Lagos Junior League. The committee for the Lagos Street Soccer Championship also has Hon. Olatunji Aru Issa Folami as Vice Chairman and Mr. Deji Aladegbemi as Secretary. Other members of the committee include Hon. …As Part of Efforts to Decongest Population of Correctional Facilities The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba has granted freedom and the reintegration of 30 inmates listed for amnesty programme into the society. The inmates were pardoned at an open court session presided over by the Chief Judge at the premises of Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Ogba. Releasing the inmates, Hon. Alogba said the exercise was in line with the efforts by the Federal Government to decongest custodial centres as stipulated in Sections 1(1) of the Criminal Justice Release from Custody Act, Cap C40, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2007 and 377 (c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice (Amendment) Law 2021. According to him, the amnesty is guided by relevant laws upon fulfilment of requisites, before it could be embarked upon. He added that the exercise was related to people who had stayed much longer than they would have stayed upon conviction and those whose trials had been stalled. He

*Eminent Nigerians set to storm Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to attend the NIGERIA IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO 2023 from 18th- 26th July 2023, and also the Trinidad and Tobago annual Trade and Investment Convention (TIC) 2023*  … as bilateral relations between Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean continue. It was reported earlier that ILARA, EPE Lagos State is set on Friday, 14th July 2023 to make history by the signing of an MOU promoting bilateral relations with Trinidad and Tobago, during the traditional  Conferment Ceremony of an  Honorary Chieftaincy Title on the High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to Nigeria, by the Alara of Ilara Kingdom Epe, Lagos State. Epileptic power supply, insufficient and inadequate infrastructure are our doses in EREDO LCDA. The local council cannot generate enough to cater for all the wards under it's canopy considering the quantum of infrastructure, social welfare and security of lives and properties.  The residents implore the state and the local council to look into the problems facing the residents in and around EREDO LCDA.

EJIKEME JOY MMESOME: WE SHALL CONTINUE TO SERVE WITH INTEGRITY - JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is, hereby, restating its earlier position that the UTME result being paraded by Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma is patently fake. Consequently, the Board would like to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named "Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle", who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138. It is also instructive to note that the candidate, in her statement, has inadvertently revealed the rightful owner of the result she is parading when she pointed out that the QR code on the result slip showed the actual owner of the said result before she peddled a lie in an attempt to obfuscate the truth. To witness the unassailable position of the Board regarding this obvious falsehood, the general public is, therefore, urged to endeavour to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated.  It is to
