BREAKING:Lagos installs ‘intelligent’ speed limit monitors, imposes ₦50,000 : 00 The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, in collaboration with Huawei Technologies, has deployed four new Intelligent Transport System sites to monitor and detect speeding and manage traffic flows. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, commissioner for transportation disclosed this during a press briefing on Thursday, stating that the new devices would complement the existing Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras and other Traffic Management Solution devices. The checkpoint sites are designed to detect over speeding. One is located at Alapere, Ogudu Road, with a speed limit of 80km/h, while the other is installed at Nitel, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, with a speed limit of 60km/h.
