HENRY NWOSU (MON) NEEDS URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION...

 AS Received:  FORMER CAPTAIN OF THE SUPER EAGLES AND ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED MIDFIELDERS NIGERIA EVER HAD- HENRY NWOSU (MON) NEEDS URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION.   Henry Nwosu  mercurial midfielder and former Captain of the Super Eagles and the youngest player in the Green Eagles  Sqaud that won the African Nations Cup in 1980 for the first time. Nwosu who meritoriously served Nigeria in the 1980s and 1990s is down with an ailment that requires urgent medical attention, this writer just got off the phone  this morning with Nwosu whose speech is already blurred. The Situation requires urgent medical attention. This is a clarion call to the NFF, Hon. Minister of Sports, the government of Imo state and all Nigerians of Goodwill to rally round Nwosu to save his life. Nwosu was a delight to watch in his days at defunct NNB, ACB, Iwuanyanwu Nationale and the Super Eagles. Henry Nwosu is a leaving legend. DAVID MARK MOURNS DEATH OF SON IN UK.

As Received:   Senator David Mark’s first son, Tunde, d#es in U.K at 51 Former Senate President, Senator David Mark, is bereaved as his first son, Tunde Mark, passed away in the early hours of Friday, October 21.  A family source told DailySun that Tunde d#ed in London, U.K. after b@ttling with cancer. He was aged 51.  According to the report, the corp$e is expected to be flown to Nigeria in the coming days. He left behind a wife and a child.

ASUU SUSPENDS EIGHT MONTHS STRIKE...

 ASUU Pree Release is pasted below:  The National Executive Committee of ASUU have called off the lingering strike actions of eight months and had ordered all members of the association to go back to work with immediate effect from Thursday 13th October, 2022. After reviewing the meetings held with the Federal Government ably represented by the Minister for Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ingige and timely intervention of the Hon. Speaker of the house of representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. The leadership of ASUU after the reviews decided to call off the strike having not met all requirements my the FG.

S. O. Kazeem  Politicians all over the world are fun to watch, especially if you don't belong to the same party as them. The fun usually comes in the form of their boastfulness and excessive use of words to describe little things they have doing.  In Nigeria today the use of the phrase "one million man match" has become common among the politicians, and this is a general thing as it's not peculiar to any political party.  The politicians give the impression that they control the largest number of the potential electorate in the country no matter the part of the country they come from.  This common phrase became popular during the time of late General Sanni Abacha.  As Received: NFF COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT   The new President of Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has given his pledge to run an inclusive administration, in which all stakeholders will be welcome to make suggestions and recommendations on the best way to deal with knotty and not-so-knotty issues. “Administration at every level, that of football inclusive, requires the wisdom to be able to listen to everyone who has an idea and then pick the very best to deal with each situation at hand. Those of us in the Executive Committee are only privileged to be representing the entire fraternity. “We will run an inclusive administration in which ideas and advice will be welcome from all quarters, and will be guided in our resolutions. ALL STARS FC, OBANIKORO HUMBLED ON INDEPENDENCE DAY...

  The Independence Day always fall aptly with the program organized by the Reliables FC, Ebute Meta, Lagos.  October 1st is The Reliables FC Chairman's birthday and therefore made this a double celebration spiced with a friendly match between the Oldies teams, The Reliables FC Ebute Metta vs All Stars Obanikoro. The football match was entertaining and eventful with a great supportership gestures on display.  The match ended in a 3 - 2 in favour of the home team, Reliables FC Ebute Metta, Lagos. All Stars Obanikoro, Lagos also fought gallantly came back from 2 goals down to 2 all and for the undoubted resilience of the home team, another goal was added towards the close of the game. The officiating was fantastic and labelled the match as "No Victor....No Vanguished"  More of this is adviced to be organized by the ex-footballers in communities to calm pressures in all these skillful adults.
