Kazeem Today the Supreme Court has put the disagreement over the governorship candidacy of PDP to a logical conclusion.  In its judgment today, the court affirms that Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State Governor-elect, is the right candidate of PDP for the election. That means, bearing the outcome of the decision of the Elections Tribunal, Ademola Adeleke would be sworn in at the next Governor of Osun State in November.

After due consultations with my political associates, supporters and well-wishers, I have decided not to appeal against the judgement. I accept the judgement. The Presidency wishes to strongly assert that there is no state, not Katsina, not any other state in the federation, that has been authorized to procure automatic weapons for their security outfits. Under this administration, the President has repeatedly made it clear that nobody is allowed to illegally carry AK-47 or any other automatic weapons and that they must surrender them. Where they fail to do so, the law enforcement agencies have been given clear directives to deal with any such outlaws. Under the existing regulations, only the Office of the National Security Adviser can issue such authorization, upon proper clearance by the President and Commander-in-Chief and as it is at this moment, no such approvals have been issued to any state government.

 Governor Rotimi Akeredolu Rotimi Akeredolu Governor, Ondo State The video making the rounds showing the equivalent of the Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun Corps) in Katsina, obtaining the approval of the Federal Government to bear arms is fraught with great dangers. Denying Amotekun the urgently needed rights, to legitimately bear arms is a repudiation of the basis of true federalism which we have been clamoring for.  That Katsina was able to arm its state security force, with the display of AK47 means we are pursuing one country, two systems " solution to the national question. If the katsina situation conferring advantages on some, in the face of commonly faced existential threats, it means that our unitary policing system, which has failed, is a deliberate method of subjugation which must be challenged.  The Independence agreement was based on a democratic arrangement to have a federal state and devolved internal security mechanics. We must go back to that agreement.

Bolaji Eko-Odeyale Erinfolami...  The speaker of Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila mediated between ASUU executive and the Federal Government. The minister of state for Education represented the FG in the course of this discussion, the minister interjected the ASUU and this interjection heightened the dowsed tension in the meeting, but all parties were calmed by the Hon.  Residents and commuters on Lekki-Epe Expressway are frustrated day in, day out after experiencing tedious and tiring long period in the traffic either on their way out or into their abodes.  Associations and individuals have called on the state government to come to the aid of the masses.  Lagos State in its bid to extend the dividend's of democracy to the people have been up and doing in the infrastructure sector of the state economic status. However, the inability of the contactors to finish the projects on time has been the cause of the gridlocks all around Lagos.  Some residents in their opinions reiterated that, it's the state government that starved the contractors of funds. Whichever ways, the gridlocks affect man hour and labour hours which inturn cease socio-economic development of the affected areas, the state and Nigeria in general. Governor Sanwo-Olu is hereby tasked by citizens to put these roads in good shape for the masses who are solely praying for his success.

 Lagos - Ijebu Ode Old road is one of the early road infrastructures in the south western Nigeria till date.  This is along Ilado/Ibefun - Itoikin road. The honourable minister of works and housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola  have tremendously equiped the nation with most recent technically advanced road network in and around Nigeria. This aided the free flow of traffic in the country. However, some roads are frequently and over used irrespective of location, such is the route mentioned above, this route have turned into death pits and also a weaponry of kidnapping for the unscrupulous elements in the Society.
