IBARAPA MASSACRE...

 As Received... Breaking: Massacre in Ibarapa ... Many killed, palace, petrol station, vehicles burnt by gunmen ...Oyo Assembly Speaker condemns attack Blood flowed freely in Igangan, one of the seven principal towns of Ibarapaland in Oyo State, on Saturday night as gunmen reportedly dispatched many persons to their early graves in the town. The bandits, according to sources, were about 50 and they invaded the town around 11pm on Saturday on more than 20 motorcycles. During the invasion, the palace of the paramount ruler of the town, the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Lasisi Adeoye, as well as a popular petroleum station and some cars were reportedly razed. The exact number of people killed during the attack could not be immediately ascertained as at the time of filing this report. Some people said 20 persons lost their lives, while another set said 10 persons were killed.  It is the raining season and Lagos State Government is hereby implored to brace up in the campaign to discourage residents from emptying their refuse cans in the gutters and canals.  Enforcement is inimical to curb loss of lives and properties. The CDAs in Lagos Island and environs seek the support of both the local government and the state in creating better environment during the season. 

HOW TB JOSHUA DIED - LAGOS CP ODUMOSU

As Received   By Abankula Lagos Police Commissioner (CP) Hakeem Odumosu has offered some insight into how Pastor Joshua     died Saturday night.Joshua, he said , was officially pronounced dead by a hospital around 3am.           “It is true he is dead. I do not know the cause of his death yet. But the information we have is that he      was conducting service. Along the line, he felt uncomfortable, walked to his apartment himself and      never came back.       . “His people thought he probably wanted to rest or refresh but when they didn’t see him after a long        while, they went in search of him and found him in an unusual position.          “The service started in the evening. But it was around 3am that he was pronounced dead by a hospital.”           The church said Joshua’s last words to his members were “watch and pray"       He was said to have also reminded them there was time for everything before he left the church hall.

 PRESS RELEASE FG Suspends Twitter's Operations in Nigeria The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of the micro blogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the suspension in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, citing the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence. The Minister said the Federal Government has also directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria. Plane Stuck in mud at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos..

 The News attached to this incident as reported by an aviation expert and analyst  The Ethiopian Aircraft Boeing 777-300ER landed successfully on domestic Runway 18Left due to ongoing repairs on International Runway 18Right at the time. *It wasn't trying to take off.* While trying to do a 360 degree turn to taxi to the international Apron, an Overland Aircraft ATR42 doing an engine run affected the manouvering. In the process of trying to avoid hitting the ATR42 with its wing, the aircraft left wheel slide onto the grass field. Being a minor occurrence that did not threaten lives whatsoever, the aviation regulatory body cleared the aircraft to continue flight operations, after the affected Tyre was changed. I am giving you what happened exactly because I was part of the team that conducted a preliminary investigation on the occurrence. Feel free to let me know if you require additional clarification. The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State Upgraded...

As Received   PRESS STATEMENT  SENATE APPROVES UPGRADE OF ILARO POLY TO A UNIVERSITY     The Senate has approved the upgrade of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State to a university of technology following the third reading of “A Bill for an Act to Provide for the Establishment of Federal University of Technology, Ilaro and for other Matters Connected Therewith” sponsored by Senator Solomon Adeola (APC Lagos West).  The bill was originally sponsored by Senator Adeola in the 8th Senate but could not be passed before the expiration of the 8th Senate and it was again represented in the 9th Senate for consideration and passage.  Presenting the report of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, Senator Sadiq Umar Sulaiman(APC, Kwara)  on behalf the chairman of the committee Senator Ahmad Babba-Kaita (APC, Katsina North), said there is need to expand opportunities for advance education in technology adding that the upgrade of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro to a university
